Can't Help Falling In Love

Banjo Tab PDF + TEF

Notes on the Tab from the PDF:

"Can't Help Falling In Love" was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss.

To get the feel for the timing of this piece you should listen repeatedly to the 1961 hit single by Elvis Presley.

Don't let the triplets or the non-stop chord changes dissuade you from learning to play this tab.

The performance tempo of this song is so slow that it makes playing the triplets (while changing chords twice in almost every measure) quite doable.

Study the chord chart on page 4 and at least try the fingering that I recommend you use for this tab. You may want to use different fingers but start with these chord shapes as shown in the diagrams. Each chord diagram shows the reference fret number, the left-hand fingering, and the chord name.

Look for patterns in the right-hand rolls. Do you see how the entire tab only uses a few different picking patterns?

Yes, in some places you will use two thumbs in a row or two index fingers in a row but remember, at this slow tempo, it is totally within your ability to play it this way.

Happy Picking!
-Tom

The TEF (TablEdit file) "plays" the tab on your device using the free TEF viewer available from TablEdit.
