Meet Your Teacher
Jan Berry has been creating handmade soap, salves, and more since 2003, when she started making natural body care products for her toddler who struggled with eczema, multiple allergies, and extra-sensitive skin. As an herbalist and avid forager, Jan especially loves incorporating herbs, flowers, and other plants into her skincare creations. In 2012, she founded The Nerdy Farm Wife website, where she shares natural skin care and soap recipes, herbal remedies, and more. She's also the published author of several books, including Simple & Natural Soapmaking, and The Big Book of Homemade Products. Jan lives, roams, and rambles over a 100+ acre farm with her family, 3 rescue dogs, 4 cats, 13 goats, 2 pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and a whole lotta deer and bunnies who enjoy eating her green beans and peas.
