Free sample lesson: What is consent? (Year 9 Health)

The lesson. If someone says yes once, does that mean yes next time? Students learn the five checks of real consent (free, informed, clear, willing and ongoing), practise spotting a real yes and a fake yes in everyday situations, and see that changing your mind is always allowed. It opens Unit 2, Consent, Power and Pressure.

The full programme. Eight units and 120 lessons for Years 9 and 10, written for the refreshed New Zealand Health and PE curriculum.
