Course Overview
This course is designed to facilitate the development and growth of participants into social-emotional leaders.
The Social-Emotional Leadership course is for anyone! I don’t believe that leadership comes from a fancy title or from having a specific status. Leaders exist within a variety of contexts and have various backgrounds. Long story short, If you want to improve your social, emotional, and leadership skills, this course is for you.
The Social-Emotional Learning model has proven to be effective for both students and adults. We know that adults take their cues from their leaders. Therefore, it is necessary for those leaders to possess social-emotional skills; not only for their own well-being but in order to foster social-emotional learning and leadership skills throughout the environments in which they lead and ultimately improve outcomes.
Course Content
In this six-session course (beginning on April 11, 2022), we will cover core leadership principles and the five SEL competencies. Each skill builds on the next. The full course is designed to help leaders grow (personally and professionally) and develop skills that will help to improve their overall well-being.
