The Ivrit Betil Holiday Cards

The Ivrit Betil Holiday Cards are a fun and meaningful resource designed to help students learn Hebrew vocabulary while learning about the Jewish holidays.

The cards cover all the major holidays - Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Chanukah, Tu Bishvat, Purim, Passover (Pesach), and Shavuot - and include four key Hebrew words related to each holiday. Each card (word) comes in three sizes.

These words can be combined with vocabulary from other groups in the program, encouraging students to create full and meaningful sentences. A brief teacher’s guide is included, outlining which groups can be combined and providing sample sentences.

Teachers can use the cards independently to enrich their holiday lessons with Hebrew words or they can integrate them into the broader Ivrit Betil program by introducing the holiday vocabulary at the appropriate time of year and blending it with previously learned words.

This approach enables students to develop their language skills gradually while connecting them to Jewish tradition.
