A process to determine the order of selection for teams in the NBA Draft, aimed at promoting parity. Transactional Example: The results of the draft lottery determining which team receives the first overall pick. Impact Statement: The draft lottery aims to balance talent distribution and prevent teams from tanking to secure top draft picks.
