Dottie's Mahj — The One App (2026 Season)
Six rooms on your phone, your tablet and your computer, all drawn from the same logic as the Card Companion and the two Playbooks — so a beginner working through the Beginner Playbook and a sharper player deep in the Defensive Playbook are each drilling the very thing they just read.
Deal & Decide hands you a fresh rack and asks which sections it votes for. Exposures puts one caller across the table: what is still open to her, and what can you no longer throw? Table Scanning opens all three seats at once — rank the threats, then pick the cheap discard. The Charleston stays with one rack through every pass, with the neighbourhoods rising and falling beside it. The Hot Wall drills the end of the game, when the wall is short and every throw costs something. And Play deals you a full hand against three opponents who charleston properly, call properly and defend properly.
Forty dollars covers the whole 2026 season. The app lives at dottiesmahj.com/apps/app — there is nothing to fetch from the App Store or Google Play. You open it in your browser, put it on your home screen, and from then on it runs with no signal at all: a waiting room, a car, a table with dreadful reception. Your unlock code for the season arrives with your receipt — one code, one player, good on your phone, your tablet and your computer. Each room keeps its own count of what you have seen and what you have mastered, so you can tell at a glance which corners of the card still want work.
The app is rebuilt every spring when the National Mah Jongg League releases the new card, and a fresh season goes on sale then. Made to sit beside your card, never in place of it.
