I rediscovered these poems from the 1990’s in a box in the garage when we moved from the Pocono Mountains to the farmlands just outside Lancaster, PA. That was 2019.  It was a joyous recovery of pieces of my own self. Like so many other times when your core self blows in out of the blue, it was a time of disbelieving that time had passed and a time of believing that too much time had passed. Both of those things at once.

Part of the fun of this book was doing it myself and not using my publisher.  I have tried my hand at self publishing digital copies in the past and it is rewarding.  But, I also used some new technologies on this book of poems.  I took photos with my phone of all of the typed pages in my poetry binders (remember those things called typewriters) and converted them to text and then pdfs - also on my phone.  I combined them all, turned them into word.docs and then edited them.  Turned them all back into pdfs and BAM - here they are.

These days in our lives as a couple were filled with trying to have a child. Losing a child. Explorations of our lives and limits in counseling. The animus and anima. Dreams. Trips to the ashram. Prayer. Meditation. Inner Light. House painting as a profession. Grief and exultation. Turning into our 30s and then our 40s.

So much is here that paints a picture of a soul learning to expand and play, and learning to dream and interpret. I hope you can find something here of worth. Enjoy.
