Nordic Grain

The Nordic Grain sock pattern was originally named 'Pohjoista viljaa' in the Finnish sock book 'Tuhansien villasukkien maa'. Please note that the pattern is available for purchase only in English here on Payhip.


Pattern features:

• designed for fingering weight (approximately 400-420 m / 100 g) yarns: 45-55 grams of MC and 25-30 grams of CC
• knitted cuff-down
• instructions written for magic loop but dpns can be used as well
• instructions written in metric and US terminology
• three sizes: small (60 sts), medium (66 sts) and large (72 sts)
• instructions for two slightly different heel structures
• charts but no written instructions for the stranded colourwork
