Nothing Needs Me Yet (Mara Vale)

A cup of coffee. An open screen door. An afternoon that asks nothing of you.

On “Nothing Needs Me Yet,” Mara Vale sings about the small habits that remain after someone leaves—and the moment being alone begins to feel like being home. Her earthy alto settles into a deep, persistent groove, surrounded by warm bass, smoky Hammond, and distant harmonies.

Sunday soul with a little ache and room to breathe.
