Pineapple Ring Cowl

Worked bottom-up in the round.

Intermediate Skills: Work in the round, knit, purl, right and left crossings (2 stitch cables).

Pattern of Stockinette triangles edged by right and left crosses, tiled with purl-ridged triangles going in the opposite direction. To me, it looks like little pineapples.

Includes both a chart and line-by-line (abbreviated) instructions.

Written in US English with metric equivalents.

Gauge

Gauge is not critical, but will affect size and yarn requirements.

Gently blocked Stockinette:

20 stitches by 26 rounds = 4” (10 cm) square

This gauge provided for yarn & needle pairing, to get an appropriate fabric density without knitting the entire repeat.

1 repeat in pattern stitch:

12 stitches by 32 rounds = 2.125” (5.4 cm) by 4.25” (10.8 cm)
