影の道
Kage no Michi · The Path of Shadow
A 30-day Japanese shadow work journal — for the ones who are tired of urgent.
────────────────────────────
✦ WHAT THIS IS
Not a workbook with instructions to follow.
Not a guide that tells you what to find.
Kage no Michi is a daily observation practice — 30 prompts drawn from the
Japanese tradition of 陰陽 (in-yō), 金継ぎ (kintsugi), and 無心 (mushin).
One prompt per day. Five to fifteen minutes. No wrong answers.
The question this journal asks is not:
"How do I fix what I found?"
The question is:
"Can I look at this — steadily, without rushing away?"

✦ THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND IT
In Japanese tradition, the shadow isn't an enemy.
金継ぎ · Kintsugi — broken pottery repaired with gold. The seam doesn't
disappear. It becomes the most visible part. The bowl doesn't heal by
looking unbroken. It heals by being seen clearly.
Applied to inner work: the goal is not integration. It's honest looking.
This journal holds that frame for 30 days.

· 30 daily prompts — one per page, spacious and unhurried
· A brief note on the Japanese concept behind each week's theme

· A closing practice for the final day
Week 1 · 陰 · What is here
Week 2 · 光 · What it stands beside
Week 3 · 間 · The space between knowing and doing
Week 4 · 道 · What remains when the looking is done

✦ A NOTE ON THE PRACTICE
Kage no Michi approaches shadow work as a reflective practice — not a
therapeutic one. The prompts are written in deliberately gentle language.
Nothing is required. Take what resonates, set aside what does not.
This is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you
are experiencing significant distress, please reach out to a qualified
professional.
