Alone/Together
ALONE/TOGETHER is now available to watch on a pay-what-you-wish basis.
The film brings together interviews from 11 countries, tracing how people around the world experienced isolation during the pandemic, and how those experiences continue to shape life afterward.
It moves across personal and collective stories—parenting under pressure, mental health struggles and resilience, essential workers sustaining daily life, and young people navigating a disrupted coming-of-age.
It also reflects on broader social and political moments of that time, now remembered with distance and complexity.
At its core, the film holds a shared question: how do we live through separation, and what do we carry forward from it?
You are welcome to watch alone, at your own pace, or in small private groups if you choose to watch together. There is no fixed way to engage with the film. The invitation is to meet it in a way that feels right for you.
The film is available in English and Chinese. If you would like to contribute additional subtitles, you are welcome to get in touch. For institutional screenings, please speak to the film team.
After Images
I have also started a Substack series called “ALONE/TOGETHER: After Images” to continue the film's life through reflection, writing, and ongoing responses.
If this work resonates with you, your support is welcome and helps sustain both this project and future work.
