In times of uncertainty, the quality of our connection is the quality of our navigation. When plans are unclear and the future is foggy, how do we strengthen the relational tissue that allows a group to find its way through, together?

Your group meets and goes straight to the agenda, and whatever each person is carrying comes into the room anyway, unnamed.

Tending the field is a short ritual of arrival: two questions to open, two to close, one person at a time, no interruptions. It shifts attention from urgency to intimacy, and holds the centre without needing a direction.

What this is: a group check-in ritual as a downloadable PDF, from The Art of Unravelling. Ten minutes to an hour depending on your group, gathered in a circle, willing to go one at a time without interrupting. The PDF carries the practice for participants and a full facilitator guide, hosting the space, modelling the first answer, holding the silence, responding when someone asks for support without letting the check-in be derailed by it.

It is for you if: you open or close meetings, sessions or gatherings and want a way to bring the actual people in the room into view before the work starts.

What you will receive:

  • A beautifully designed PDF Practice Card.
  • Clear, step-by-step instructions for a 'Tending the Field' process.
  • A facilitator guide for holding this practice with a group.

You will get a PDF (262KB) file
