German B1 Exam Guide

I was preparing for the B1 exam while working full-time and I hadn’t used German in years. Since I didn’t have time to study everything from scratch, I needed to focus on what mattered most for passing the B1. That’s when I developed these techniques and strategies to make the most of the German knowledge I already had and the limited time I had to prepare.

This is not a German language course. This guide won’t teach you German grammar or vocabulary. Instead, it focuses on exam-taking techniques, such as understand exam structure, recognise different question types and approach each task effectively. The guide includes practical techniques and useful phrases you can use for all four sections: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
