Psalms 113-118, collectively known as the Egyptian Hallel or Passover Hallel Psalms, are typically sung at the Passover meal. The Gospels record that Jesus sang these psalms when He had the Last Supper with His disciples (Matthew 26:30; Mark 14:26).

The psalms look back at the Exodus event in the history of Israel when God delivered Israel from slavery in Egypt and brought them to the promised land. These psalms also look forward to the Messiah who will deliver Israel and the nations from slavery to sin and bring them to eternal life. Find the connections between the Exodus and Calvary, between the Passover and the Table of Christ.
