40 Underappreciated Game Dev Tips
This book (my second ever published book — the other was Unified Logic) was formed by gathering together a wide variety of my own thoughts and insights into game development (and also general creativity, to an extent) that I'd accumulated over the years up to the point of this book's release in 2018. There are a great many more thoughts on game dev that I've had over the years than just these, but these were selected (i.e. curated) for higher than average quality and or broad applicability to many people working in game dev as a hobby or in a professional capacity. 🎁
The book has several especially powerful insights in it, such as how to balance gameplay elements more efficiently, how to sustain creative momentum (in several different respects), and how to create puzzles more easily, among many other useful general-purpose game dev ideas and concepts. 🌠
Each game dev tip (40 in total) was carefully refined to occupy exactly one page each and the book can be easily read in one single day, making it a very cost effective and time effective way to get access to some often overlooked insights into the game development process! 🧮📄✅
As for my own background, I actually used to work for a prominent AAA game dev company years ago and also worked at a smaller indie company once too. I'm a creative generalist these days and have experiment with many kinds of creative and intellectual mediums and I hope to expand my creative output even further in the future. Hopefully by sharing my thoughts from this book you too can benefit from my own efforts towards living a more fulfilling and creative life! Life isn't always perfect, nor is it always what we expect it to be, but together we can endure the ups and downs and through our perseverance and solidarity we can make more of our dreams and aspirations into reality! 🎢🤝😎
