Sometimes we all need a battle cry. When you want extra energy to face the world around you…Towanda! Don’t know what “Towanda!” means? Here’s a clip from the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes”.
For those times requiring a secret burst of patience or courage…Towanda!
For all of you who have suffered through repeated bouts of
mansplaining in the workplace…Towanda!
When people ask if you’ll “knit me a sweater like that”…Towanda!(which also means 1-800-TJ MAXX.)
You just woke up on the wrong side of the bed, irritated by everyone AND you’re out of coffee…Towanda!
Or, if you just need some Towanda power while asking for a raise or because some dork on the subway is manspreading into your knitting space (but note - if they use pink yarn, they are excused.) Straighten your Towanda! shawl, go forth, and conquer!
The Details
Look closely….you might see X-chromosomes, or a pretty dragon tail at the end (otpional.) You might see delicate bits of lace and solid stripes. What would Idgy see? Wrap up in it when you need a Winn-Dixie parking lot moment - but please don’t get arrested in the process. Final measurements: 76” long by 16” deep (approximately.)

Great for two solids or a variegated and solid. If you want to adjust the size because you have less yarn than required just omit rows in the final two segments (as I did in my project here.)
