UK Short Interest Monthly, October 2026: FCA Net Short Positions Report (PDF + CSV)

The FCA's aggregated net short positions as at 23 October 2026, summarised in a 7-page PDF and a CSV. 427 issuers had a disclosed aggregate net short position of 0.2% or more; the median was 1.31%, 64 were at 5% or more and 14 at 10% or more. The highest were Ceres Power (18.02%), Pennon Group (15.10%) and Yellow Cake (15.02%). Over the 30 days from 23 September, 187 issuers rose and 173 fell; the largest increase was Pennon (+5.41 points) and the largest decrease Golden Metal Resources (-4.49 points). 5 positions were new and 17 fell below 0.2%. Inside: the top 25 with ISIN, level on 23 September, change and peak since 13 July, the biggest increases and decreases, weekly trends, and new and closed positions. The CSV lists all 481 issuers.
