If You Never Knew (Big Band)

An advanced piece for high school and university big band, "If You Never Knew" is an emotional ballad in the key of Ab major with an easy waltz feel. Flowing beautifully, IYNK is an has a great feel but still captivates the ear with subtle chord changes that are outside of the norm.

Originally taken from Ryan's 2013 release, "Story", "If You Never Knew" was arranged for big band the following year and premiered as a large ensemble piece with HRT Big Band (Croatia).

In this particular piece, your trumpet section will need dark trumpet sounds or -better yet- flugelhorns. Melody is played by Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet 2, and Electric Guitar.
