Puss in the Corner

This simple block - Puss in the Corner - just asked to have cats appliqued in the centre. The wall-hanging first featured in Popular Patchwork many years ago as a junior project to practice different methods of applique. These days I can suggest you print a photo of your cat onto fabric and use that. The applique template is included in the pattern. My cats are fairly conventional in their colouring but why not go a bit mad and have rainbow cats instead?! The quilt will finish at 24 inches square.
