"When God Clears Your Calendar"

This book tells my story and yes everyone has a story, but this is my ugly truth. But the truth sets me free.

I thought I was winning that deal. I lost it. And in losing, I won everything that mattered. I have left out names and private fights on purpose. Those details belong to other people.

What belongs to you is the truth of what God did, and the old truth that He does not pick the way the world picks. He picked fishermen. A persecutor. A shepherd boy his own daddy almost forgot. A woman the religious crowd wrote off.

And He picked an old drunk car salesman who went to church one Easter just to get his wife to quit talking. If the world has already decided you are not worthy, you are in good company. Read it slow. If a chapter hits you, stop and sit with the Scripture at the end.

The point is not to impress anybody. The point is to clear a little path so God can meet you the same way He met me — at the end of a full calendar, with a voice that says quit running. YES, JESUS LOVES EVEN YOU...
