Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Hat

This is the simplest of hat patterns. I designed it for teaching children to knit. It is straightforward and only uses the knit stitch. With some minor shaping on the top, it can be knit by the experienced knitter in an evening for a quick gift or by the beginner for a first or second project. The hat is sized for the average 8 year old - but will fit most kids between the ages of 5 and 10. Gradient or self striping yarn is recommended for new knitters, because it is more exciting and compelling to knit.

Supplies:

• 75 grams worsted weight yarn. Shown in Cascade Yarns Wave
• US7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needle.
• Tapestry needle for finishing.
