Leucate

Leucate, a popular place for kiting in southern France, is a place of contrasts. It is situated by the sea and has a large water basin (Étang). The north-west wind from the Pyrenees creates foam crests in the Étang, while the sea is slightly wavy. The wind from the south-east creates foam crests at sea and only slight waves in the Étang.

The shawl unites these opposites. Between smooth stockinette sections, foam crowns become a lace pattern and light waves become garter ribs.

Leucate is an asymmetric triangle with texture and stripes. It is knitted sideways.

Leucate, ein beliebter Ort zum Kiten in Südfrankreich, ist ein Ort der Gegensätze. Es liegt am Meer und hat ein grosses Wasserbecken (Étang). Der Nord-West-Wind aus den Pyrenäen erzeugt Schaumkronen im Étang, während sich das Meer leicht wellt. Der Wind aus Süd-Ost erzeugt Schaumkronen auf dem Meer und nur leichte Wellen im Étang.

Das Tuch vereint diese Gegensätze. Zwischen glatt rechts Abschnitten werden Schaumkronen zu einem Lochmuster und leichte Wellen zu Krausrippen.

Leucate ist ein asymmetrisches Dreieck mit Textur und Streifen. Es wird seitlich gestrickt.
