The Brand Story

August is a special month to me. Towards its end, is my birthday. I would not describe myself as this frivolous person who loves big celebrations. I fall in the category of laid-back, calm, and reflective type of person. I deem a birthday as a special personal moment. And at the same time a great opportunity to review a few things. And celebrate a few milestones. That is how it has been most of the times. That is how I love celebrating a birthday. In quiet environments with just my thoughts. However, three years ago. Something shifted.

I was not able to celebrate a birthday for last three years. During that period. I was in a battlefield. Some ‘intelligent’ people thought I was moving so fast. Getting so much done at their expense. So they decided to slow me down. They had mapped out everything. They attacked at the right time. When I was not there. They descended on my property and destroyed a lot of things. Things that I have worked hard for many years. These silly idlers destroyed what they don’t know how to build.

People don’t just wake up to a successful career. We labor for these things. Both spiritually and physically. But to a fool. Hard work of many years looks like nothing. So in the last three years. I have not only been rebuilding but also fighting the negative influence of that attack. I have spent all my life’s savings bringing up everything that was brought down.

And when you do all this work of rebuilding and recovery. Do you know what you end up with? Exhaustion. Those three years have been characterized with exhaustion, pain of starting afresh, and betrayal. Courtesy of the attack. I now know who are my true friends. And who are fake. I call this a season. And it has been a season of revelation. I have learned a lot rebuilding. And marveled at the same time. Just how fast a tall building can be brought down. That it takes several years to build a tall building. Nevertheless, when a thief comes. That building can be brought down in a matter of days or months.
