My heart is heavy and I'm saddened by the recent news of the terrorist attack in New Zealand. Let us join together in the quilting community and show our support and love for the people of Christchurch. This pattern is free for rest of the month of March. But in return, please make a donation to a charity supporting the victims of the Christchurch shooting. You can follow the link below to a Victim Support page, or choose your own charity to donate to.
My favourite charity to sew for is Aussie Hero Quilts - making quilts for our currently deployed service men and women. I designed this block for a recent quilt to be sent to a serviceman. I couldn't resist making it geometric style.
The pattern makes a 14" block. This block could be made in a rainbow of colours, or using shades all of one colour for a different look.
Due to the nature of the pattern, it does have a lot of pieces involved but tends to look more complicated than what it actually is. Naturally there are no y-seams in this (or in any of my patterns. y-seams are yuck).
Due to the size of the block, the templates print over more than one page. You can find the pattern in both A4 and Letter size - just make sure to download the correct size for your printer paper.
Paper piecing instructions are not included. Each section is clearly labelled and seam allowance has been added for each section. All you need to do is print it out and away you go :) I suggest that you print to "Actual size".
