The Art of 8-bit Stories

8-bit Stories is an ongoing project that started in 2014 by an anonymous outsider artist which showcases the human condition and idealized moments of a past that never existed. The art borrows obscure images from the vast archives of NES and is collaged into a whole new world of nostalgia by the artist themselves. The humans of 8-bit are thoroughly mundane and deeply blue and live longing for something they can't quite put their finger on unable to grasp the burden of reality; unable to trim the pain away.

This "Best Of" collection contains 60 pieces of visual art from 2018-2021 in high-resolution without their original quotes to showcase the imagery and let nostalgia speak for itself.
