Challah is a delicious, slightly sweet, braided bread. I’ve baked challah almost every Friday for the past 20 years so I guess it’s not surprising that it eventually found its way into one of my designs!
The Challah Sweater is a cabled, circular yoke pullover worked entirely in the round. You cast on at the top, and short rows are used to shape the neckline. Next you’ll do some circular yoke shaping before you work the challah cables (Wendy, of Wendy’s Knotty Knits, designed the cables when I told her about my design idea!). After working the cables the sleeve stitches are set aside while you finish the body. When the body is complete the sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm to the cuff.
Available in 10 sizes, from 30-66".
