Explorer Sweater

The Explorer Sweater is a pullover sweater with raglan sleeves and a relaxed fit. The simple stitch crocheted in the round provides wonderful drape that can be missing with some crochet colorwork sweaters. The 

Explorer Sweater is size inclusive and the length is customizable to your preference. Don’t be scared of the colorwork. The pattern provides tutorials to help and it is much easier than you might think! It is the perfect pullover to add to your wardrobe that will have people not believing that it is handmade!

• XS Bust 28-30 in (finished bust 36 in)
• S Bust 32-34 in (finished bust 40 in)
• M Bust 36-38 in (finished bust 44 in)
• L Bust 40-42 in (finished bust 48 in)
• XL Bust 44-46 in (finished bust 52 in)
• 2XL Bust 48-50 in (finished bust 56 in)
• 3XL Bust 52-54 in (finished bust 60 in)
• 4XL Bust 56-58 in (finished bust 64 in)
• 5XL Bust 60-62 in (finished bust 68 in)

YARN: 

- DK (3) 

The yardage below is for a hip length sweater (see schematic). For each inch you remove from the sweater, you will need approximately 53 fewer yards than listed below.

MC: 1100 (1285, 1425, 1525, 1645)(1870, 1965, 2115, 2185) yards 

1015 (1175, 1305, 1395, 1505)(1710, 1800, 1935, 2000) meters

CC: 110 (115, 125, 160, 170)(180, 190, 220, 230) yards 

100 (105, 115, 150, 160)(165, 175, 205, 215) meters 

Note: This yardage does not include the cc at the cuff.

HOOK: 

- 3.5mm, 3.75mm, and 4mm

GAUGE: 

16 x 16 sc in 4” x 4” 

This gauge is meant to allow for drape so you might have to try a hook larger than suggested if you crochet tightly.

TESTING 

This is a #sizeinclusive pattern that was tested across all nine sizes.
