The Apple Promise – Maple Street Bakery Series, Book 8

Two hundred baskets. Six weeks. One shared kitchen.

Cora Ellington runs Maple Street Bakery through careful schedules, exact standards and plans designed to leave nothing to chance.

Simon Prescott believes orchard work requires instinct, flexibility and the willingness to adapt.

When storm damage closes the Prescott orchard’s commercial kitchen, the Rosewood Apple Basket Project forces Cora and Simon to work side by side in Maple Street Bakery. Their temporary partnership is supposed to be strictly practical—but the closer they work, the harder it becomes to ignore the feelings growing between them.

Bruised apples, family responsibilities, a failed oven and a closed bridge will test their plans. To keep their promise to Rosewood Falls, Cora and Simon must learn that accepting help is not weakness—and making room for another person may be the bravest choice of all.

The Apple Promise is Book Eight in the Maple Street Bakery Series: a clean, cosy small-town romance featuring forced proximity, reluctant temporary partners, an autumn orchard, a close-knit community and a heartwarming happily-ever-after.
