Braille Connections

This is a PDF pattern you will download and print on a computer printer. No physical pattern will be shipped.

The pattern makes a 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished quilt block.

The block represents "communication and connections with people." I used Braille, used by people with diminished or no sight, as the theme of the block. Reading across each row are the symbols for the letters:

TALK, READ, MAIL which are just a few ways in which humans connect with others.

The 3/4" dots can be applied by using fused fabric, fabric markers, buttons, embroidery stitches, and many other items. The checkerboard arrangement of blocks brings a quilt-like effect to the piece and also distinguishes the letters in each row.
