I come from a sailing and sea loving family and I’ve been fascinated about knots as long as I can remember.
This sock has two Reef Knots on the cuff and twined rope on the front of the foot and over the toes.

The cuff is knitted flat, the sts for the foor is picked up from the edge of the cuff. The horizontal cable is attached as it is knitted, so no seaming needed there. Stitches for the toes are picked up from the edge of the horizontal cable.

This is a easy and quick knit and it is perfect for using up leftover yarns. With the short cuff it is perfect for modern times fashinable bare ankles!

Notes

• Use the 4/4 LC cable on your left foot sock and 4/4 RC cable on your right foot sock.
• When knitting the horizontal cable panel, the decreases alternate between k2tog and k3tog.
• When picking up sts pick up 2 sts, skip 1; rep from will give you a more even result.
• Use the Finchley Graft Method (link to video tutorial) instead of 3 needle bind off for a
smoother seam. It’s super easy!
• I-cord (link to tutorial)
• Pattern uses Knitting Cast on Method when casting on for the horizontal cable panel. There’s a stich by stitch tutorial in the pattern.
