XOX Pullover

You just can’t help kissing and hugging little ones, so why not let them wear your love? This XOX Motif emblazoned on the chest will send out the message. 

Worked from the bottom up in pieces, this roomy pullover features a shoulder button placket in the smaller sizes for ease of dressing baby.

This knitting pattern includes written directions, both charted and written instructions, and front and back images.

Sizes + Finished Measurements

• To fit Newborn (3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2-3 years).
• Finished chest circumference: 20 (21 ½, 22 ¼, 23 ¾, 25, 26 ½)" / 51 (54.5, 56.5, 60.5, 63.5, 67.5) cm.
• Back length: 11 (11, 12, 13, 13 ½, 14)" / 28 (28, 30.5, 33, 34.5, 35.5) cm.
• Sleeve seam: 6 (6 ½, 7 ½, 8, 8 ½, 9 ½)" / 15 (16.5, 19, 20.5, 21.5, 24) cm.
• Designed for a roomy fit with 2 ½ to 5 ½” (6.5 to 14 cm) positive ease, with more ease for larger sizes.

Yarn

• DK weight yarn; 345 (375, 450, 505, 555, 620) yd / 320 (345, 410, 460, 505, 570) m.
• Shown in Knit Picks Swish DK (affiliate)(100% Superwash Merino Wool; 123 yards/50g); Green Tea Heather.

Substitution Notes
Choose a DK weight yarn. The original is a superwash wool that works up at 5.5 sts per inch (2.5 cm) on 3.75 mm (US 5) needles. Smooth wools (including superwash), wool blends, acrylics, and cottons will substitute well. If this is a gift, consider a yarn that is easily laundered.

• 2.75 & 3.25 mm (US 2 & 3) Needles;
• Locking Stitch Markers;

• (2) 5/8" Buttons, for sizes Newborn (3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months) only.

Gauge
22 sts and 32 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch, blocked.

Techniques
Increases/decreases, three needle bind off, bias bind off (explained), working simple cables from chart or written instructions, modified set-in sleeve sweater construction, worked flat, bottom up, picking up stitches, seaming, buttonholes and sewing on buttons.
