This book was written by Rob Plier (M.A. Music). Rob has played guitar since age 13 and performed in various punk rock and heavy metal bands in the Washington D.C. area before studying classical guitar at Northern Virginia Community College and Radford University.

Rob became a graduate teaching assistant at Radford, where he studied guitar performance and pedagogy, which included analyzing dozens of the best guitar methods from the 18th century through the present day.

Rob founded and organized "Reston Nature Fest", an annual music festival held at Walker Nature Center in Reston, Virginia, which has featured many acclaimed musicians. Rob has also been featured as a soloist at the Radford University International Guitar Festival.

He continues to teach, perform, write and produce music to this day. He aspires to help guide his students towards musical greatness, having prepared many for the successful completion of auditions for music conservatories and beyond.
