ShopMatrix — Shopify CSV Image Reference Checker (Python Utility)
Source-code download, not a standalone EXE or Shopify app. Requires Python 3.10+ and Tkinter before use. No pip packages or shop login needed.
Inspect selected image-reference fields in a product CSV before doing your own import review. ShopMatrix flags covered malformed URLs, common local addresses, image-position problems and overly long alternative text. Reports show the CSV record, column and value, with issues, advisories and unknowns kept separate.
Choose Inspect, Create or Update intent, select a UTF-8 comma-separated CSV up to 20MiB, and save a new local report folder. Your input file stays unchanged. HTML and JSON reports are included; no files are uploaded and no images fetched. Create/Update provide limited context checks, not complete product/variant checks.
Included in one ZIP: Python source, Windows convenience launcher, setup/usage/ support instructions, a fictional sample and report, and a guided before/after demo. The demo's changes were made manually, not by the checker. Its after-report still has unknown remote-image checks even though static issues were corrected.
Python and Tkinter are NOT bundled. Tested using an existing Windows Python 3.12 installation; clean-machine installation and Mac/Linux operation are unverified. The FIRST-RUN instructions include version/Tk checks and a command-line alternative.
This tool does not test image reachability/permission, restore missing images, fix CSVs, upload products or guarantee an import. It is not a full CSV validator, security scanner or substitute for reviewing Shopify's current import guidance. Reports can contain complete cells/private URLs: inspect before sharing them.
Use for your own internal business work or authorized client files. You may modify the source for that work and share reports with the authorized data owner; no public redistribution/resale of the utility. See included usage terms. For file questions, use the seller email at the bottom of your Payhip receipt. Custom installation, CSV repair, store-import work, guaranteed response times and future updates are not included. Send only fictional reproductions, never store logins/private files.

Digital delivery
ShopMatrix is a downloadable ZIP containing source code, instructions and examples. No physical item is shipped. Payhip provides a download page after a completed order and sends a receipt with a download link. Check your receipt and spam folder if you cannot find it.
Requirements and support
ShopMatrix requires Python 3.10+ and Tkinter. They are not bundled. Read the product listing and included FIRST-RUN instructions before use. For questions about your purchase or a missing/corrupt download, use Contact in the store menu or the seller email on your Payhip receipt. Include your order reference, product name and a short description of the problem. Use fictional examples; do not send payment-card details, passwords, private customer files or store credentials.
Custom installation, CSV repair, store-import services, guaranteed response times and future updates are not included.
