English instructions and word meanings help parents and teachers guide the practice. The child’s reading activity is in Portuguese.
Who is it for?
Children who have already received initial literacy instruction and understand how letters combine to form words. Use it while they consolidate their reading skills or afterward, with adult support as needed.
It is especially suited to bilingual families who want to include more Portuguese reading in their home routine, as well as homeschooling and classroom practice.

Each word appears in:
• Lowercase cursive
• Cursive with an initial capital
• Uppercase print
• Print with an initial capital
• Lowercase print
Children can read and compare the same word across these forms. Soft red highlights draw attention to the letter group being practiced.
Read, revisit, and play
Begin with the color pages for supported reading and comparison. Then choose between two printable activities:
• Cards and reading mask: reveal one written form at a time while keeping the other forms and the English meaning covered.
• Individual word pieces: cut out familiar words, shuffle them, and invite the child to read one at a time. Mix writing styles as confidence grows.

Comece pelas páginas coloridas para ler com apoio e comparar as grafias. Depois, escolha entre duas atividades para imprimir:
• Cartões e máscara de leitura: revele uma grafia por vez, mantendo as demais apresentações e o significado em inglês cobertos.
• Peças de palavras individuais: recorte palavras conhecidas, embaralhe e convide a criança a ler uma por vez. Misture as grafias conforme a confiança cresce.
