Mint Chip

This classic and beloved flavor combines a cool, minty base with sweet milk chocolate chips or flakes. I prefer making my own chocolate flakes (method included in the recipe) because they are thinner and melt quicker in the mouth, giving me my desired chocolate flavor much quicker than traditional chips. Green dye is optional, but I choose to use a hint of natural dye because I always want and need my mint ice cream to be light green. I am a sucker for nostalgia.
