Catalog Change Review
Review product changes before you import
Catalog Change Review compares your current Shopify product export with the CSV you plan to import. Review changed prices, previously populated fields becoming blank, identifier changes, and variant concerns in one readable report.
$19 USD, one-time. Includes the delivered version with no recurring license charge. Useful for store owners, catalog assistants, and consultants preparing product CSV updates.
What you get
• An offline browser utility: extract the ZIP and open the HTML file in a current desktop Chrome or Edge browser.
• A comparison report, plus checks for common CSV structure and product-field problems.
• HTML and CSV findings exports to keep or share with a colleague or client.
• A quick-start guide, a built-in fictional example, and four synthetic sample CSVs.
See the kind of change it helps you spot
In the included fictional example, a Canvas Tote changes from $24 to $30, its Vendor field becomes blank, and its SKU changes from 000101 to 000101-new. The comparison highlights these changes for review. The examples contain no real customer data and should not be imported into a live store.
Local files, offline review
The utility reads files in your browser tab. It has no server, analytics, automatic network requests, or store connection, and it leaves both input files unchanged. No account or API key is needed to use it. Downloaded reports contain selected values from your files, so share them with care.
Supported files and limits
Use UTF-8, comma-separated Shopify product CSVs, with current or recognized older column labels. Each input can contain up to 10 MiB, 50,000 records, and 150 columns. Reports retain up to 2,000 detailed findings and clearly flag truncation; use smaller complete product groups when a report is truncated.
This version does not convert arbitrary supplier files or XLSX workbooks, support inventory-location CSVs, import products, recover deleted data, check live images, or inspect your store. It checks the files you provide and cannot know later store changes or every custom-field rule. A clean report does not guarantee import success or predict every effect.
Keep an untouched recent export, review ambiguous findings, and use Shopify's own import preview before proceeding. This purchase includes no lifetime-update promise or store-specific consulting.
