This listing is for a knitting pattern pdf so that you can make this cowl yourself. You will receive a pdf to download.

The Rosey Winter Cowl lets you put your favorite bulky variegated yarns on full display! Go bold and dramatic with bright colors and contrasting borders. Or keep it simple and classy using one color in a calm earthy tone. You'll get to enjoy working garter stitch borders and the French braid-like columns which are as fun to knit as they are interesting to look at.

The comfy size shown stands tall on its own. You can also wear it doubled for a looser fit that sits below the chin. Minimal shaping ensures a close-fitting cowl with a bottom edge that spreads flat. It’ll keep your keep neck cozy and warm without adding bulk at the back like a shawl or scarf will.

The Rosey Winter Cowl is quickly knit with one or two colors of yarn. Use your scraps or full skeins to create one for you and one for a friend.

Customizing this cowl to your heart’s content is easy. Simple modifications are included to help you get the size and fit you want.

The Rosey Winter Cowl is worked from the bottom up and in the round beginning with familiar garter stitch. The body of this cowl is just a one round repeat that you’ll work until it’s as tall as you want it to be. This simple repeat uses the knit one below technique to create a textural pattern that looks like a French braid. Link provided to video tutorial.

Once you’ve reached the desired height, shaping is worked. Then the top edge of garter stitch finishes off this cowl. With the bulky yarn this cowl works up very quickly.

The Rosey Winter Cowl allows your variegated bulky yarn to shine. However it would look just as good in any tonal, plain, gradient, or speckled yarns too.
