UBEN-HYENG: The Ancestral Summons

This Nen (Winter Solstice) marks the 28th anniversary of my release of my first published book UBEN-HYENG: The Ancestral Summons. I began writing it in September and it was released three months later on December 21, 12998 (1997).

UBEN-HYENG along with my related book KUKUU-TUNTUM The Ancestral Jurisdiction (published four years later) actually serve as the foundation for the 31 books I have published, the 42 courses I have created and curated as well as our documentary films, annual conferences and more.

When we began printing the UBEN-HYENG for sale it was $9. When we decided to make the e-book versions of all of our books free downloads to the community in 13014 (2014) we began to receive a flood of downloads - averaging 5,000 book downloads per month. Within one year we had over 55,000 downloads of our books alone including thousands of downloads of the UBEN-HYENG. Making our books freely accessible to the Black community over the past 11 years has empowered tens of thousands.

A few years ago we created the UBEN-HYENG six-week online course wherein we examine the material in detail so that we can apply these principles to our everyday lives. We have positively impacted thousands of our people with the UBEN-HYENG alone over these 28 years.

We are offering the archived version of our UBEN-HYENG course at a 33% discount in honor of our 28th anniversary. The discounted six-week archived course is $10 and the book is a free download.

UBEN-HYENG (u· ben' - shehng') is the combination of the Khanitu-Kamau (Nubian-Egyptian) term, Uben and the Twi-Akan term, Hyeng. The terms are defined in their respective languages as descriptive of drawing forth by illumination, to shine; bright, brilliant. As a name, they are representative of the revivifying energy of Creative Power. Just as the morning Sun calls for the rejuvenation of Earth UBEN-HYENG is a summons for the rejuvenation of the culture.
