Socks in Love

Socks in Love is a collection of toe-up sock patterns sharing a common stitch pattern in a variety of ways! Starting with Mànran (flirtation) and Gràdh (love, cherish) then progressing to Togair (desire, covet) and Dìleas (faithful, loyal) before finishing with Gaolach (beloved).

You will get one pdf each for Mànran, Togair and Gaolach. The other two patterns have four files - one pdf with the pattern for the sock, and a pdf for each size with charts and the written pattern.

The patterns are fully written and charted so however you like to read your patterns, you’re covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. You will also need to know how to do Judy’s Magic Cast-On and a stretchy bind off like Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

Materials

• 425 m (465 yds) of sock yarn (75% Wool, 25% Nylon, 465 yds/100g)
• 2.5 mm (US 1.5) circular needles, 80 cm (32”) or longer or DPNs
• 4 stitch markers (per sock)
• Yarn needle for sewing in ends
• Sock blockers (optional)

Gauge

32 stitches and 44 rounds in 10 cm (4”) in stockinette in the round.

Finished Size

Small: 17.5 cm (7”) circumference
Medium: 20 cm (8”) circumference
Large : 22.5 cm (9”) circumference

The socks are designed to be worn with up to 0 - 2.5 cm (0 - 1”) of negative ease.
