You're running code you never wrote.

Beliefs about what you deserve. Reactions you can't explain. Habits you've tried to break a dozen times. They were installed long before you had a say, by childhood, culture and experience, and they've been running in the background ever since, shaping every decision you make.

Most people spend their lives patching symptoms. Root Access takes you to the source.

What you get

📘 Root Access: The Conscious Self-Programming Guide

How to Debug the Programs Running Your Life and Rewrite Who You Are on Purpose

91 pages · 13 chapters · 12 original diagrams

🛠 Source Code: The Root Access Workbook

62 pages · fully fillable PDF

Exercises for every chapter, ending with Your Source Code: a single-page map of the new system you've built.

Start with the Stack

The book opens with one model: the Stack. Your hardware, operating system, programs, scripts and habits all produce your outputs, which are the results you see in your life. Once you can see the layers, you can see where things break.

At the center is one idea that changes everything: you are not your code. You're the administrator, and you have root access.

The three-phase framework

Phase I: Shut Down (Quiet the System)

You can't debug a system that never stops running. Pick a Safe Mode level that fits your life, from a one-day Reboot to a full sabbatical, and learn to read your emotions as error logs instead of deleting them.

Phase II: Debug (Find the Root Cause)

Find the legacy code and who wrote it. Run stack traces, ask the five whys, and write honest bug reports on the patterns holding you back. Then run a penetration test on your own life.

Phase III: Rewrite (Write the New Code)

Write new programs as clear if-then scripts. Protect them with boot and shutdown routines, a firewall and a personal dashboard. Test them in staging with two-week sprints, then deploy to production: release notes for the people in your life, boundaries as permissions, and hotfixes when something breaks.

This is for you if…

  • You're successful on paper but running on empty
  • You keep repeating the same patterns, even though you know better
  • Burnout, a crossroads or a reset has you asking who you want to be next
  • You want a structured system, not motivation that fades by Monday

No coding experience needed. The software language makes the ideas clear and practical; you don't need to be technical to use it.

What you'll walk away with

  • A clear map of the programs shaping your decisions, relationships and results
  • The ability to catch a pattern while it's running, not after the damage is done
  • A repeatable process to rewrite any program that holds you back
  • Your Source Code, a one-page blueprint of the system you chose to build

About the author

Fabian Lewis is an Army veteran and IT leader with 12+ years of leading teams, most recently as Senior Manager of a 47-person software testing department. His job was finding what's broken in complex systems and fixing it at the root. When his own system crashed, he turned that discipline on himself. Root Access is the process he built to recover.
