Arcane Sonic Sanctuary - The First Power (Album)
The First Power is a predominantly instrumental djent album by Arcane Sonic Sanctuary, released on 1 July 2026. All songs were written and composed by Gabriela Gomes, and the album artwork was designed by Gabriela Gomes.
The album consists of 15 tracks built around crushing riffs, intricate rhythms, progressive arrangements, and melodic rock influences incorporated into the djent style. While the majority of the album contains no vocal performances, "Death to the Gatekeepers" and "Your Soul Is Mine" are full vocal songs, while "Salvete Ad Inferos" and "Welcome... To Hell" feature only brief moments of singing.
The concept of the album draws inspiration from the video game series Doom and the journey Dante undertakes through Inferno, the first part of The Divine Comedy. It explores themes of corruption, vengeance, and descent into darkness. Quite literally, the album is intended to capture the feeling of a journey through Hell itself. Through both instrumental storytelling and selective vocal performances, the project presents a journey through devastation, inner struggle, and betrayal, following a path through chaos, damnation, and the relentless pursuit of survival.
