Accommodation Recommendations for ADHD Clients (2 CEs)
Criterion D for ADHD indicates that the diagnosis causes impairment in functioning. As such, anyone who qualifies for an ADHD diagnosis will experience challenges in many areas of their life. For those who are employed or in school, the law entitles them to reasonable accommodations and supports. But what does this mean? What makes an accommodation "reasonable," and which specific accommodations are most appropriate for a given client? This course teaches the nuances as well as the legal and ethical considerations of determining appropriate occupational and academic accommodations for ADHD clients.
This course consists of a one-hour, 30 minute lecture video and 35 minute homework assignment, for a total of 2 CE credits.
