Colorful concentric welts bring to mind a favorite summertime treat in the Lollipop Crossbody Bag. This project is ideally sized for a relaxing knitting experience and results in a bag just large enough to carry your essentials while leaving your hands free for all your favorite summer activities!
The pattern is written for one size, resulting in a bag approximately 7”/18 cm wide and 1”/2.5 deep, but you can customize it to whatever size you like. I have included directions and diagrams for the felt lining that adds structure and sturdiness to your bag. The updated version now includes both a no-zipper version and a zippered version along with its video demo and a color planner to help you plan out your yarn colors.
Yarn: fingering, sport, or DK weight yarn Note: The welts are easier to work with wool or other elastic yarns. The sample’s MC is fingering weight cotton and CC is a sport weight wool blend yarn.
