Bellheather Shawl
Texture comes first in Bellheather, from its travelling stitches and borders of star stitch leaves to delicate bud motifs. The design takes its name from the bell-shaped blossoms of wild heather found across late summer moorlands.
The shawl is worked from tip to tip with increases along one edge for the first half of the pattern and mirrored decreases for the second. Directions are both charted and written out.
Although shown in DK weight, this pattern can be worked with different yarn weights and with a wide range of yardages. Just weigh your yarn at the beginning of work, increase until there’s roughly half left, then start decreasing!
