Windover is a classic triangular shawl featuring modern clean lines, knit from the top down. Inspired by my love for small batch locally produced yarn, Windover is named for the farm where Clare Harrison raises her flock of Wensleydale sheep and operates her mill about thirty minutes from me.

Working with Clare's yarn for this project was such an honor. It's easy to see that she pours her heart and soul into raising her flock and gives the same careful attention to processing and milling their fleeces.

While the yarn I used for this project is not currently distributed outside my local area, I encourage you to support your own local fiber community and shop for some special yarn to make your own Windover shawl.

Knit with two colors of fingering weight yarn, the lines in Windover really pop with a high contrast color pairing. I'd love to see what you choose!
