My Crete

This is not a guide to 15 “secret” places in Crete. Balos is in here too.

It is a personal collection of places that, trip after trip, made me slow down, stop and simply think: I feel good here.

Some are beaches I found almost by chance. Others are small villages, tavernas beneath the trees, a swing overlooking the Libyan Sea, a blue window, a staircase framed by bougainvillea.

And some are famous places that still managed to move me.

My Crete is not here to tell you everything you have to see on the island.

It is simply the Crete I discovered by returning, exploring, changing plans and sometimes taking the wrong road.
