The path to serenity does not arrive with ease, and even through genetic abnormalities or sociological barriers we still push forward along a frictionless road toward sanity. Many never question the essence of chemically altered foods, or by the judgment of spurious comforts we attach to as mislabeling such companions as friends. Attending to each conscious choice for reclaiming a better outcome than the last is as daunting as marionetting the affection raised by the tender spark of dopamine at dawn. Much of the thematic depth in this book emerges from observing our conditioned tendencies while resisting instinctual impulses, and why our genes impose such difficulty in being human remains concealed by our fearful neglect of true purpose. From pleiotropy and Mendelian inheritance to intimacy and primal nurture, I invite you to glimpse through the peephole of human awkwardness as witnessed by the spectators, namely our genes.
