I have been teaching guitar for over 20 years. I’ve worked with students who have a natural sense of rhythm and students who have really struggled. No matter where you’re starting from, you can become a really solid, confident rhythm player. It just takes 1) good playing technique, 2) good practice technique, 3) an understanding of the musical job you’re doing, and 4) a willingness to work.
